INSTRUCTOR-TRAINEE PROGRAM
The Instructor-Trainee Program covers 600 clock hours of instruction. It is for licensed Barber-Stylists. The graduated student can work in many different career opportunities, such as:
Entry Level Position:
Instructor in a Barber School
Intermediate Level Position:
Manager of a Barber School
Advanced Level Position:
School Director
Students learn: how to prepare for class lectures; methods of teaching theory and clinical classes; keeping student records; and personal development.
An Instructor-Trainee upon satisfactory completion of all course requirements receives a certificate from NEW TYLER. The student is eligible to take the Arkansas State Board of Barber Examiners examination. The fee for this examination is $120.00. This examination is a written examination and an oral presentation.
Upon satisfactory passing this examination, the graduate receives a license as a Teacher, Manager, or Instructor.
After completion of the program, the student will be proficient in the above skills.
